During August and September 2019, my art will be on display at art gallery in the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library.
It’s a lovely space, off to the left of the entryway, surrounded by plenty of windows, light, and comfy chairs. A perfect place to relax and read or work.
For this exhibit, I chose 7 pieces. Most are inspired by locations, real or imaginary. Many incorporate maps or book pages or printed material. The center piece, Finding Balance, is about contrasts and transition: going from dawn to dusk, A to Z, and so on.
I specifically chose a symmetrical arrangement, both as a nod to Finding Balance and also because there’s also a peace in symmetry, a calmness in balance that offsets the energy of faraway places. Ah, more contrasts!
