The 1st Congregational Church of Akron is truly a beautiful place: a gorgeous historic building and a kind, warm group of people. Needless to say, when they asked if I would like to display my artwork in their fellowship hall, my answer was an enthusiastic “yes”!
Twenty-five of my nature-inspired paintings and collages are hanging in their hall through November 1. You can see them during regular church hours.
We will also have a closing reception on Sunday, October 25th, from noon-1pm after services at the church. Everyone is welcome to join us.
The church, established, in 1833, moved into the current distinctive stone building in 1908. It’s really quite humbling to have my simple contemporary artwork in such an historic setting.
