Running August 11 – September 21, “Joy In The Moment” is an exhibit of my artwork at Christ Community Chapel in Hudson, Ohio.
An actual, in-person, meet-the-artist reception will be held on Thursday, August 20, from 7:00-8:30 pm.
Refreshments will be served outside. Guests in the gallery will be limited to 10, and masks are required. Otherwise, I am SO looking forward to seeing everyone in person.
The premise for the show is this:
Joy, wonder, excitement, love are all essential human emotions and as important to us in 2020 as ever. Maybe more so!
Celebrating the important moments in our lives is challenging right now and perhaps doesn’t feel serious enough with all the other current events we’re facing. But I advocate that finding ways to communicate while separate, keeping our loved ones close, nurturing our relationships, and being in the moment is vital to our long-term health and happiness.
The artwork I have selected for this exhibit explores that need to communicate with each other, appreciate beauty in our day, and continue to search for joy and happiness.
Family, friends, even places – including our beloved Hudson – are represented here. I hope you come away feeling a bit happier.
The pieces I selected for this show are:
- Dreams of Faraway Places
- Farmer’s Market
- From a Fond Heart Faithful And True
- Hudson Clocktower in the style of famous artists
- In The Clear
- In The Moment
- Letters Unsent
- My Darling Clementine
- Offering 1 and 2
- Remembrance
- Seven Sisters
- Time of Waiting
- True Joy And Happiness Be Ever Thine
