If your plans include a visit to the Cleveland Botanical Garden early this summer, be sure to visit the Guren Art Gallery on the 2nd floor.
Between May 22 and July 8, Shannon Casey and I are showing our artwork in an exhibit entitled, “Trees I Have Known and A Few Shrubs”.
If the title sounds familiar, your memory is very good! We did a similar show two years ago at Uncommon ART.
Both of us are often inspired by nature, and throughout our lives, and trees are especially important. All the pieces in this exhibit are inspired by trees that have been memorable to us, whether fond memories as children, landmarks in our neighborhoods, or testaments to the beauty of our surroundings.
Artist Talk
I will be at the gallery on Sunday, June 17, from 1:00-3:00pm, talking about the artwork and where we found our inspiration. Come say hi, get a personal tour of the exhibit, and also enjoy the gardens. I would love to see you!
Photos of the exhibit are below. My artwork on display includes:
- Roots and Roads 1
- Roots and Roads 3
- Autumn and Summer
- Tall Tree
- Dreams of Faraway Places
- The Trees Wear Fuzzy Slippers
- The Sentinels 1 and 2
