See the previous “Colors and Lines” post for the backstory here. This one is painted in cool shades of green, with bits of red, yellow, white, and pink.
The black form was made by dropping India Ink on the paper and blowing through a drinking straw to push the ink around. It’s formed these wonderful jagged shapes.
The background for this painting has small lines of paint poured on in spiral shapes and loops. You can see some of them in the details. I had thought the ink would get stuck against these forms, but the ink didn’t mind them and went where it wanted.
