“November” is the second painting in a series that began with an imaginary image that I couldn’t quite put my finger on but couldn’t quite identify.
The first version is a small, 4×6 inch sketch.
This second version is closest to the original image in my head. It is 12×12 inches, painted with acrylic paints and inks on paper, then mounted on a deep canvas. The edges of the canvas are painted black.
The third version, “Autumn”, is a bit larger and has warmer colors.
I’ve struggled with naming this one but it has a November kind of feel to me, so we’ll go with that.
The second image shows a side view of the painting hanging on my studio wall.
